We should have picked Flacco who has had absolutely no problems going from college to the pros, lets face it we picked another Ryan Leaf and he is going to ruin a good offense which is very sad to think about. No way Al couldn't see who the problem was on offense but I'm sure he will stick with JR instead of Gradkowski who always looks WAY more confident on the field. Branch can't cover and that's obvious but maybe Mitchell can come back and make an improvement. I knew losing Chaz at the beginning of the season instead of the middle or towards the end was the worst possible thing for us and it showed. DHB may get better when Chaz returns and gets a lot of attention but it should be way too late by then. For all that the dline did, and it was great most of the time, it still wasn't enough and they constantly let Rivers do just enough to keep moving down the field late in the game. He knew that he would always get the third down pass so why worry when we stopped them on first and second. We would have had to hurt Sproles or Rivers to win and we couldn't. I'd imagine after this, if we continue with the prevent, with each lose no matter how good they play, we will see the old defense slowly return as they see it doesn't matter what they do in the end. I wish I was surprised about the way this game went but of course I'm not. There isn't a team out there who won't know that we will eventually blow the game as long as they keep it close. I would rather lose playing defense without a prevent even in the playbook than ever watch that performance again. And I bet you if it were Brady and Moss, the refs don't question that TD one second, regardless of any rule or camera angles; simply unbelievable.

Funny thing about that call - when a player makes a catch with both feet down, then gets hit or stripped, they say he had possesion with both feet down - TD. Only in bizzaro world do they pull out the magnifying glasses for some obscure verbiage to screw the Raiders. The Holy Roller was a long time ago, and actually legal at the time refs - let it go! Besides, the immaculate incompletion should have given the Raiders a 100 year grace period against getting screwed by the refs - but noooooo!

As for the chargers, they are hurting and the Ravens will hurt them some more for sure. They will be a bloody mess by the time our Raiders roll into SD. If they can beat the queefs and the donks, the Raiders will be in decent shape, Especially if JR (the Yeti) can settle down. Go RAIDERS!

How can you say they made theright call according to the rule book? The explanation from the rule book favors Murphy having the reception. They keep using the video showing his back saying look he didn't have control, it is amazingly stupid. How can you assume he didn't have control of the ball from that footage! You can't and by far that isn't conclusive evidence to overturn a ruling on the field. And if the would use any other camera angle they would see he had complete control until he rolled on his side and the ball came in contact with ground and it came loose from his grip.
If you look at the rule they stated from the rule book it says if a reciever is falling to the ground and trying to gain possesion of a loose ball and the ball hits the ground before he gains possesion it is an incomplete pass. BUT he had complete control of the ball and had clear possesion untill the ball touched the ground after he was down. And it also says if a reciever gains possesion of the ball prior to it touching the ground it is a catch! Which he obviously did! This whole thing is based on the fact that they are using footage from backside and you can't see the ball until it hits the ground. If they would use a better angle of the footage they couldn't be saying what they are because it would hold no water. And it's as if they banished any other veiw. All of the networks have that same backside view. It's a pathetic attempt to cover there rear cause they were obviously wrong in their overturning that play. I want justic! It's not about the loss, it's about them being wrong and trying to justify what they did by stating a rule from the book that doesn't even help their cause. If you notice they keep saying he didn't have control and lost the ball when it hit the ground. They have to say that cause that's the only way their story holds up. But they are wrong. And how would they know they only show that one clip from the back. I want JUSTICE!

Can't wait until the DHB experiment is concluded and he's sent packing to the practice squad. What a waste of a #1 pick. Imagine having gotten a good defender with that pick. I'll be happy if Fargas remains on the inactive list all season. Barnes getting healthy and playing RT will be a huge improvement to both the run and pass offense. Maybe if Russell had receivers who could run routes and catch better than the two rooks his completion % would've been much higher. Higgins need more passes thrown to him earlier in the game. I like the passes to the TEs. That's where the strength is anyways. Why in the hell use the worthless prevent defense? What were the linebackers doing 20 yards downfield? They gave the game away letting Sproles catch the ball at the line of scrimmage with noone near him. They got what they asked for playing defense like that. One would think they'd have learned from that mistake the past six years.
