For a 3rd round pick…Hope he pans out in Al’s system.

  2. caliboy2210 says:

well he is going back to a 4-3 system were he did good with 11 sacks his rookie season

  3. D-Raiders says:

its a great pickup, im very happy about the trade. im also happy with players released except i fill bad for fargus, but young guys need more carrys n bush is a awesome rb we need to sign to long term. 2 more guys need to go sam williams and stanford routt, why they did they give such high tender is crazy on routt, no one would even offer a 7th rounder for him. i hope we pickup some1 to replace him at nickel. and sam williams everytime hes on field replacing someone hurt he if wiffing at tackling n looking so lost in coverage. hes mainly special teams keep him there or get rid him, i say upgrade. someone pass jawalrus some slim trim plz asap
raiders will be better now that coach n focus on o-line n let new off cord plan stoked go raiders-just win gradcowskeeeeeeeeee

looks like a nice pickup for a 3rd round pick, im looking forward too seeing him in silver and black. whats he like as a run defender anyone? cant say i watch many browns games. im hoping we go oline and dline with the 1st two picks in either order, I know its wishful thinking but the trenches have been neglected far too long.

This appears like a good trade. As caliboy pointed out,his best year was in the same system we currently employ on defense. A 3rd seems like a fair price too. Now we just need to find a way to trade into the top five so we can draft either Suh or McCoy! We would be looking pretty tough on defense! With Cable being relieved of play calling duties he can dedicate the majority of his time to fixing the o-line! With our current cast of chairacters along with some help through the draft, Cable should be able to piece together a workable o-line! Also I’d really like to see us make a trade for Troy Smith. Him and Gradkowski at starter and #2,Fry at #3 JaWalrus to the curb!!!

Agreed mattraider…We need to go OL and DL and the draft is deep in both.
That will allow us some flexibility.
I would take a top D-lineman (Nose tackle from Cal?) )to stop that damn run with my first pick.
But then again, I’m not Al Davis. He might pick another running back that times in at 4.2

Go with a top O Tackle with #2 or #3. 4 through 7 will shake out as best available talent.

I liked the trade of one of our 3rd rounders for this kid. He’s still young and has already proved he can have a big season. I’m still curious as to see what type of defense we run this year…

what makes this guy worth a 3rd round pick because he was drafted in the 1st round 3 years ago and had a good rookie season what would have been a better trade is if we traded our 3rd for shaun Rogers..69 tackles at OLB is not that great hope hes worth the draft pick and hold its down draft Mcclain at the middle and we are looking decent with our LB’s

He can’t be any worse than our current group of LB’s who haven’t been very good for years now. Even Morrison and Howard haven’t impressed me at all, nor has Brown for that matter. Would love to see us pick up one in the draft.
